Pleven - a city in northern Bulgaria. There are several art galleries, and one of the most interesting and famous art gallery is Svetlin Rusev ("Svetlin Rusev collection of donations"). This famous Bulgarian artist, painter, cultural activist and art collector who was born in Pleven and lived here a long time.
Rusev was a teacher at the Sofia National Academy of Arts, as well as director of the State Art Gallery, chaired the Union of Bulgarian Artists for many years. Svetlin Rusev in 1985 gave hometown extensive collection of Bulgarian art, classical and modern, as well as African and Oriental. This foundation and laid the foundation for a permanent gallery, named in honor of the donor. The "Collections donations" today contains more than four hundred of the most valuable copies - of paintings and sculptures, gathered Rusev over the years.
The gallery is located in a building in the early 20th century, it was designed by the famous Bulgarian architect Nikola Lazarov and serve the public baths. This structure with elements of the Moorish style of architecture as a cultural monument.

Also, there are paintings of famous international artists, including Francisco Goya, Pablo Picasso, Honore Daumier, Maurice Denis, Marc Chagall, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Renato Guttuso, Eugene Delacroix, Salvador Dali.
