City Třemošnice was granted city status only recently - in 1994. Until that time, Třemošnice was a large village, which, however, and had its own castle, and a steel plant and several attractions that make it interesting in the eyes of tourists.

Scientists believe that this settlement appeared in the Pardubice region long before as it was first mentioned in the documents in question on inheritance Třemošnice. Writing appeared in 1564. She confirmed that the village now become the property of Albrecht Robmhapa come from Suha. That the family is obliged to village appearance of the castle, which was erected in 1610. The original structure has been preserved, but in its place in 1750 was built a neat Palace, more like mansions citizens than housing aristocrat. Today the castle is the owner who pays great attention to its reconstruction. Now it is closed to the public.

At the end of the XVIII century Třemošnice gave charitable foundation, which distributed money among the poor nobles.

In 1816, the city was founded in the foundry, to provide local people with jobs.

Interestingly, in Třemošnice still do not have their own church. In past centuries, the townspeople listening service in the chapel of the castle, or visit the temple, located in the nearby town ronov nad doubravou. Recently, the city authorities decided to build a church in Třemošnice Divine Mercy, which invited the architect David Vavra.

One of the most interesting local attraction is Berlova Vapenka - lime plant, which was built about 150 years ago. It now houses shops of the museum exposition.
