In one district of Ostrava called Przhivoz, which was once a separate settlement, located on the street Zakreysovoy Fire Museum. This is a relatively new museum, since the first time it opened its doors only in 2005. However, it has already become one of the most interesting museums and beloved citizens of Ostrava.

Interestingly, exposure Firefighting Museum is located in a 1905 building, which was once a fire station, who has worked nearly 80 years .  At first, there were serving German-speaking citizens, which later changed Czechs .  Fire brigade disbanded in 1980, after which the building was empty and was used as a training center for future fire fighters .  During the work of the fire station and training of fire safety were collected many exhibits that were shown to the public periodically .  Such temporary exhibitions were very popular with locals and visiting tourists .  As a result, it was decided to give the building a fire under a permanent item Fire Museum .  In 2003-2004, it was a large-scale reconstruction of the old mansion, which resulted in its expanded and adapted for the 6 permanent exhibitions: "Breathing Techniques", "Development of fire-fighting", "The development of technology and equipment for fire extinguishing", "critical situation", "video projection "" Cooperation of firefighters and police at traffic accident " .

The museum also has a department where the samples of fire engines, there are ancient specimens.
