Unusual Themerovy Kollarovoy fountain in the square is named by the name of its creator - a modern sculptor Ivan Themera. This famous master long nurtured the idea of ​​creating an original design, devoid of the water tank. Finally, in the 1968-1969 year, he, with the support of friends - Thomas and Joseph Stareka Chernushkas, managed to develop a blueprint for the future of the fountain and make it a reality.

Name Ivan Themera known enlightened people far beyond the Czech Republic. This sculptor worked in Paris, where he created a number of unique monuments. He emigrated to France, so the project is a fountain and a plaster model sent by mail to a friend Tomas Chernushkas, who led the construction of the fountain in Olomouc.

On the green lawn right in the center of the square there is a small concrete pad on which the high country post form. They consist of a variety of geometric shapes, as if soldered to a common basis. The cranes are embedded stone hemisphere, from which a thin stream of water flowing. She runs down the walls of the pillars and absorbed into the lawn.

Due to the constantly flowing water over rocks in a few decades, they were covered with a thick layer of lichen and lost its appeal. Therefore, in 1996-1997 was carried out large-scale reconstruction of the fountain, which resulted in him cleared away layers and give it a more modern and presentable. However, in the XXI century it has failed water supply system, which required a large financial impact on the city which still agreed. However, for several years the fountain was inoperable.
