Classic Czech fairy tales and contemporary plays staged by a skillfully made dolls can be seen in Olomouc puppet theater "Kashparkova rzhishe", whose name is translated from Czech as "Petrushkin kingdom." The local puppet theater is considered one of the oldest institutions of its kind in the Czech Republic. Its traditions originate from the 20s of the last century, when sewn by hand, rag dolls were the only fun local kids. Looking at the kids playing in the yard, a talented playwright Frantisek Cech decided to found a theater, characters that are dolls. He independently invented and sewed a lot of characters that are used in views for over 80 years. Their stories are not lost its relevance today. F. Cech wrote about 150 plays, fairy tales, edifying stories, which became the basis of the repertoire of the new theater.
In 1958, the Puppet Theatre moved into the building Slavic houses. Here is the sewing shop. Typically, these self-made characters have their own character and its own history, which develop on the go young, promising actors in love with creativity and believe in the fairy tale.
The theater season in the "Kashparkova Rzhishe" begins on October 1 and lasts until April 1. The period witnessed the premiere all tickets sold well before the appointed date.
