The Church of Nuestra Señora de la Soledad in Spanish means "Church of Our Lady of Solitude." Cathedral - one of the few of its kind Christian churches throughout Latin America. The temple was built more than three hundred years ago and today has retained its stately appearance. It is a temple in the city of Oaxaca, in southern Mexico.

Construction of the cathedral began in 1682, and in 1690 the church was consecrated. The church was erected under the direction of Fernando Mendez. The facade was built between 1717 and 1718 with the assistance of Bishop Maldonado frescoes.
