Rocca Strozzi - a castle in the Tuscan town of Campi Bisenzio, located in the heart of the Florentine plain, and became a symbol of the city. It stands on the right bank of the river Bisenzio near the bridge, which connects the historic city center with the western quarters.

Construction of the castle square with the side of the tower was started around the year 1336 by order of Ubertino di Rossello Strozzi (possibly on the ruins of an older structure) and was completed a few years later, when Carlo Strozzi. And the first documentary mention of Rocca Strozzi are dated 1378, the year - the year when by order of the Florentine Republic around Campi Bisenzio was built fortress wall. Its military importance castle lost in the 1450's and has evolved into an agricultural center. In the 19th century it was for some time been converted into a local carabinieri barracks. Fortunately, the structure perfectly preserved to this day.

In 1992, Rocca Strozzi became the property of the Ministry of Finance, and a few years later - City Hall Campi Bisenzio, on whose initiative and has been restored. Today, the castle is considered one of the finest examples of military architecture in Tuscany 14th century. Within its walls now houses a cultural center, and in the neighboring farm buildings housed restoration workshops, staffed with Etruscan artifacts.
