Palais de Rumine

Ryumin Palace was built in the XIX century in neo-Renaissance style, reminiscent of a luxurious Italian palazzo, and its facade is decorated with lions, angels and mythical creatures. The building was built for the family Bestuzhev-Ryumin, who settled in Lausanne in 1840.

After the death of the last member of this family, the palace went to the state. Now here place their collection of several museums: the geological, anatomical, archaeological and so forth. The most interesting - Museum of Fine Arts, the exhibition where you can see the work of the Western European and Swiss artists XV-XX centuries.
