Mozyr associate Museum was formed immediately after the war ended 18 June 1948 decision number 618 of 06/18/1948, the executive committee of the Regional Council of People's Deputies of the Polesie "On the discovery of the regional museum in Mozyr." Originally the museum was called Poleski Regional Museum.

In 1977, the building in which the museum was located on Lenin Street was demolished. Since the beginning of 1980 began archaeological research Mozyr. We found a large number of unique terms of archaeological objects in the areas of the Castle Hill, the Cistercian monastery, the historic city center.

Now merged History Museum includes several branches. Mozyr Castle Historical Museum - exposition of the ancient wooden castle on the territory of the Castle Hill.

Museum "Paleskaya Veda" - ethnographic composition introduces us to the Slavic national traditions, remaining we inherited from ancestors. Here you can see a traditional woodland hut Mozyr - interior, household items, clothing and more.

Museum shop NN Pushkar shows the world the Belarusian clay sculpture created by the artist-ceramist honored worker of arts BSSR N. Pushkar.

Museum of Partisan Glory in the village Romanovka tells about the partisan movement Mozyr Polesye during the Great Patriotic War.

In 1984 he opened an exhibition hall, where regular interesting exhibitions, meetings with artists, religious and political leaders, parties and contests.
