Romanesque House - the structure, which was built in Porec in the XIII century. The house is located at the beginning of Decumanus street, near the square Marafor.

Romanesque house was rebuilt and renovated several times, and the last building has undergone such changes are likely in the XVIII century, when the second floor was added to the wooden balcony. In 1926, it was another major reconstruction, which culminated in the transformation of the building into an exhibition space.

Despite the fact that the house held a variety of activities, it has retained the same spirit inherent in old residential buildings.

Features Romanesque houses are simple and honest, interior - no interior partitions. The material for the building served as the raw stone blocks. The window of the main facade - a typical Romanesque bifora. Complementing the building external staircase.

Before the end of the Second World War the house was part of the Romanesque building destroyed during the bombing. Later, the government decided not to Porec to restore them, so today the building is a separate object.
