Museum of Opole village - an open air museum located in Opole. The museum was founded in 1961, in 1970 it was opened to the public.

The main initiator of the museum says Stanislav Bronich - head of the Department of Ethnography Museum in Opole province. In the years 1956-1958 he held with members of the Department of Ethnography of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow fieldwork in Opole and the region, where they found more than a thousand wooden objects and buildings, which have found their place in the future museum.

In subsequent years the museum to create new objects: the blacksmith's shop, bakery, playground. Currently, the museum has 49 objects. In order to improve the reliability of the museum in the past two decades, some renovated rooms, as well as the attic of an apartment house, dog house, garden and flower beds.

The main part of the exhibition tells about the living conditions of the rural population in the period from the eighteenth century to the early twentieth century. Here are the houses, mills, forges, church, village school, pub. The collection contains almost 7000 exhibits, including antique.

Church, brought to the museum in 1973, was built of larch in 1613. The interior of the church combines elements of Catholic and Protestant culture. The most important place in the church - the altar of St. Nicholas and St. Catherine of Alexandria. It is made by an unknown master in the style of Dutch Mannerism. The altar is made of gilded and silvered wood, depicts scenes from the life of St. Catherine of Alexandria.

The building of the forge was built in 1726, as evidenced by the inscription on the lintel of the front door. Watermill, brought to the museum dates back to 1566 year, and is the oldest windmill was built in 1734.

The museum each year a number of activities aimed at promoting national culture and folklore.
