Oratorio gallarus - ancient oratory on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerri.Oratoriya gallarus was discovered in 1756, verified the data when it was built this building, it has been found to this day. Historians suggest that the speaker was built approximately in the 6-9 century AD However, some of the architectural features, including the form of a single window, located on the east side, suggested that the speaker was built much later, probably in the 12th century. There is disagreement about the purpose and of the buildings, although most researchers still agree that it served as a Christian church.
Oratorio is a fairly simple structure, built of local stone - the ancient red sandstone, featuring special strength. Visually, he recalled an inverted ship's hull. Such a comparison is due to the fact that the construction has a rectangular base (8 m - length of 5 m - width) and sloping side walls, "aiming" to each other, thereby forming the roof of the building. It is believed that the construction of unused bonding solution, but for some particles survived to the present day, you can almost certainly assume that this role to some extent played a mortar, which were faced with internal and external walls of the oratorio. The height of the oratorio is about 8 m. Entrance to the speakers (opening height of about 2 m) is located on the west side.
