Naschmarkt - the biggest and most famous market in Vienna, located near the center between the districts of Mariahilf and vision. The market is located about 120 shopping places and restaurants with Indian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian and Spanish cuisine. On Saturdays works the famous flea market, which is considered one of the best in Europe. Saturday flea market there since 1977.

Naschmarkt has existed since the 16th century, when sold, mainly dairy products. Milk is brought in bottles and barrels of ash, which was called "Al." So the market stuck "ashmarkt", which gradually transformed into Naschmarkt. In 1793, the square Freyung on Naschmarkt was postponed sale of fruit and vegetables.
