Beautiful little Holy Cross Church is located in the Cadet Corps. The history of the foundation of the old church at Wolska education begins at the end of the nineteenth century, when the city was called to military school. Cadet Corps building was built in 1859, and the full course of military primary school included such subjects as the law of God and the Old Slavic spelling. In 1870, at the military school was built a small wooden church and consecrated in honor of the Elevation of the Holy Cross hierarchal rank. In 1872, when the church was founded with the purpose of the Brotherhood of "moral elevation of the Cadets and the teachings of the truth of Orthodoxy." Brotherhood contributed to education of children from poor families and provide all possible assistance to the needy. For a short time the church was collected library in 1912 with more than 660 volumes.

In 1918 the military school and the church were abolished, and property was divided between the Church of the Annunciation and rural temples Volsky County. Later, when the church was destroyed by the Cadet Corps.

In December 2005, a new building was consecrated on Holy Cross Church with a bell tower at Volskaya Ecole Militaire, on the territory of the branch of the Military Academy of Logistics and Transport. See the newly built temple in honor of the Exaltation of the Cross was consecrated Bishop Longin of Saratov and Volsky.
