Khasavyurt Local History Museum is located along Toturbieva 26. Its founder was honored teacher of the school of the Dagestan ASSR, historian and ethnographer Boris Dorogobeda. The grand opening of the museum took place in February 1990

Local History Museum is located in a two-storey building typical of the architectural buildings merchant houses beginning of the twentieth century. The museum building was built in 1902 by the merchant of the second guild Dautov Adil. The facility occupies half of the ground floor. The area of ​​exposition and exhibition hall is more than 145 sq.m.

Khasavyurt museum reflects the history of Zasulakskoy Kumyks, which is presented in three halls. In the first room of the museum, guests have the opportunity to get acquainted with the history of the region since ancient times until 1917. The second hall of the museum - ethnographic, you can become more familiar with the culture Kumyks, Chechens, Avars, and so on. The third hall reflects the history of the Great Patriotic War, highlights the participation of 12 thousand hasavyurtovtsev in labor and battles during the war.
