If you think that the gardens are Petatritsatniku parklands, it is very wrong. Now this wide avenue, which is decorated with a respectable house and a number of famous historical buildings are included in all guides Pilsen. However, it was not always. At the beginning of the XIX century there still towered city walls. They gradually pulled down as superfluous and to expand urban areas, and the moat that surrounds these fortifications, fell asleep. Thus, once a central part of Pilsen formed a large vacant lot that had to be filled with something. The townspeople then decided to make the park. So there were gardens, which was later named in honor of Petatritsatniku 35th Infantry Regiment. He lodged there for a while waiting for the fighting.

In the middle of the XIX century, many local wealthy bourgeois suddenly decided that the land in the city center can be given only by green spaces and began to build their mansions here. So gardens turned first into a small street and then into the wide avenue. But the former name of the neighborhood remained.

Gardens Petatritsatniku start at the city's main theater and stretch for 600 meters towards the bridge Paton. The main structure of this avenue is considered the majestic Great Synagogue, which was built here in 1925. Among the other attractions of the street, you can mark one of the buildings of West University. The stately mansion is a classic law school.

In one of the houses in the gardens Petatritsatniku can be seen and the entrance to the dungeon Plzeň. However, it is securely closed by curious tourists.
