Mogilev Regional Drama Theater - one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. Built in 1886-1888 years by the architect and engineer P. Kamburova B. Milyanovskogo. Red brick building, rectangular in plan with two "towers" at the corners. The auditorium can accommodate 500 people.

The idea to create a theater in Mogilev came up with the local public in the late XIX century. For a long time deliberating and deciding where to build it. The first Russian theater on the stage of the Mogilev Drama Theatre managed to organize B. Kumelsky - a famous Belarusian actor, who worked on Mogilev scene from 1929 to 1939. Then he created with his team invited to work in Minsk.

After the war, the theater again was no permanent owners until 1954, when he moved to Pinsk Mogilev Regional Drama Theater. October 29, 1954 the opening of the theater premiere of "Yaroslav the Wise."
