Museum of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Belarus was opened on 6 July 2006. The decision to create the museum was made May 24, 2003 the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus.
The museum shows the history of the sport in Belarus, sport and the Olympic achievements of Belarusian athletes. Also, the museum aims to the promotion of physical education, sport and a healthy lifestyle, so-to-date in today's young Republic of Belarus.
The museum exhibition also introduces the history of the Olympic Committee, with its structure and operating rules. Demonstrates exhibits that get acquainted with the activities of the world's largest sports organizations and organizing committees. Here are stored the Olympic torch, carried by outstanding Belarusian athletes in 1980 and 2006, the most important documents and photos. Visitors to show the Belarusian Olympic medal champions. Created Hall of Fame with portraits of the most outstanding athletes of the country.
The museum has two exhibition halls, a meeting room, show room, an art gallery. The total exhibition area 456 square meters.
The Museum of Physical Culture and Sport decided to celebrate sporting achievements popularly favorite athletes. Here, hold exhibitions, reading interesting meetings with coaches and national champions, informative lectures, hold events, agitating the youth and students for an active healthy lifestyle.
