Ao Nang Bay is a small, but one of the most popular tourist resort in the western province of Krabi. 80% of the tourists here are from Europe. By the way, in translation "Ao Nang" means "Princess Bay".

In Ao Nang beach holiday balance is maintained: well-developed infrastructure in the absence of high-profile evening entertainment, such as the popular beach of Phuket. The life of the town of Ao Nang aims to work with the tourism sector, all its main street is filled with cafes, restaurants, shops and pubs. The main centers of nightlife in Ao Nang are the "Center Point", "Soi" and "Bamboo Soi".

Entertainment for body and soul can be found on the central beach of the same name Ao Nang. As expected, it is a heavenly place with turquoise waters and fine white sand. Apart from sunbathing and swimming on the beach of Ao Nang you can learn diving and snorkelling.

Especially popular are boat trips to Ao Nang on the long-nosed motorboats. The abundance of islands in the Gulf offers tourists many opportunities. You can go to the mineral springs in the Klong Thom, visit the Viking sea caves, and even arrange day safaris sharks and rays at Hin Daeng.

Just 7 km from Ao Nang is Thai Su-san Hoi or otherwise cemetery shells. According to scientists, these shells of at least 40 million years. Nearby is also a small museum and souvenir market.

In Ao Nang there are such beautiful beaches as Nopparat Thara and Raleigh. Before the second can only be reached by sea by boat.

In 2004 Ao Nang affected by the tsunami.
