In the old Kotor, on a narrow street connecting Armes and Liberation Square, or the area of flour, is another architectural monument - Beskucha Palace, built in 1776, this palace belonged to the family of Beskucha which become rich in a short time thanks to maritime trade, flourishing in the time in Kotor.

Beskucha Palace - a four-storey building, built of hewn stones of Korcula .  The architecture of the palace is quite simple, with a small amount of decorative elements .  The most amazing thing that attracts attention and has a particular value - is a portal created in the Gothic style in about the 15th century and representing the family coat of arms family Bizant .  How did this portal with the emblem of the family in the palace of Byzantium Beskucha - it is unknown, but presumably Beskucha palace was built on the site of the destroyed buildings family Byzantium, and the portal was moved out .  On either side of the portal there are two small windows in the Baroque style .  Even being partially destroyed, jammed the time, the whole elements of the portal is quite well preserved and look impressive .  Unfortunately, in the heart of a lion damaged badly enough, but lions on the capitals preserved virtually intact .  Well preserved human figures, shelves for small lions and bezels portal - vine leaves, entwined with ribbon .  One can only imagine how it looked originally a work of art, jewelry and admire the work of craftsmen .

At the beginning of the XIX century. family dynasty Beskucha gradually faded, and the palace became the property of the municipality of Kotor.
