Ethnographic Museum in the town of Kavarna was opened in 1984. The main part of the exhibition is located in a beautiful two-story old house is an architectural monument of the XIX century. Previously, the building belonged to a wealthy family. From 1896 to 1969 it housed the first Bulgarian school in the town of Kavarna. At the end of the twentieth century, the house was renovated and turned into an ethnographic museum of urban life. On the territory of the museum complex are also a number of small outbuildings and a garden.
Visitors to the ethnographic museum of Kavarna can get acquainted with the peculiarities of life and culture of a typical representative of the local region of the XIX century. Inside the building is partially saved authentic interiors and furnishings: furniture, decoration items, kitchen utensils, personal belongings of the former owners of the house, and so on. D.
One of the rooms is decorated like an old artisan workshop: Here you can see how the tools with which sewed, knitted and engage in other activities, and the results of this work - carpets, lace, fabric, ceramic and metal cookware, etc. In addition to the exhibition samples of traditional national costumes.
