Fountain, located in front of the gates of Baba Hyumayun Topkapi Palace, was built in the years 1728-1729 on the orders of Ahmed III - Sultan reformist "era of tulips", the site of a Byzantine fountain Perayton. This masterpiece of architectural structure was built in the Baroque style of the Ottoman and well underlines the European influence on the classical Ottoman architecture. Fountain of Sultan Ahmed III was originally located on the Üsküdar Square opposite the pier. This unusual building with a gabled roof covers an area of ​​10x10 meters. It was built on the seashore, to travelers, floating on the Bosphorus, we were able to quench their thirst. Earlier in religious holidays and days of Ramadan city residents at the walls of the fountain distributed free sorbet.

On the main facade of the building is possible to read the instruction of Ahmed III: "Pray for Ahmed Khan and drink the water after saying your prayers" .  On its present site Fountain of Sultan Ahmed III was moved due to renovations .  The construction of a swimming pool located in the center of the prism with eight faces is located at the corners of Sebil (charity fountain) and lateral fountains .  The basic construction is mounted on the platform with the two-step staircase .  The design has a high aesthetics due to such elements of architectural decoration, as the ornament with floral motifs, mukarnasy (convex finish), canopies, niches and borders .  In addition, the medallions with the inscription "Mashallah" and motifs depicting long graceful vases with bouquets of flowers are an indication of high artistic craftsmanship .  The wooden roof of the fountain is covered with lead, which protects the bulk of the structures from the effects of sunlight and other environmental factors .  Above the fountain located the small size of the dome and ornaments on the cornices of wood attached to the roof of the artistic value .  Unusual beauty and lightness gives the building a graceful arches, beautifully decorated with tiles, original reliefs and hinged roof .  Stella fountain and a fountain located on Bait Sultan Ahmed III, created from massive marble, were the property of Sultan Ahmed III, Grand Vizier Damad Ibrahim Pasha and Nevshehirli .  They were painted letters Sulus not once mentioned the famous poets of the time such as Shakir Nadeem and Rahim .
