The tunnels of Cu Chi, located some 70 kilometers north-west of Ho Chi Minh city in the administrative district of Ku Ti. This area is widely known across the country as a base on which the Vietnamese are preparing their operations for the Tet offensive campaign in 1968. Tunnels consist of underground passageways stretching over 250 km. The width of passages from 0.5 to 1 m is sufficient to force the way a man of small stature. Part of the tunnel was modified and expanded to accommodate them for the reception.
