In the Aegean Sea, in the southern part of the Cyclades is a small Greek island of Folegandros. Until recently, this rocky island was not very popular among tourists. Nevertheless, scenic landscapes, interesting sights, azure waters of the Aegean Sea and the special atmosphere of coziness every year on Folegandros attracted a growing number of fans of quiet and relax.

The name "Folegandros" is also the capital of the island, often referred to as "Hora" (as well as many of the administrative center of the small Greek islands). The town is situated on a cliff (at an altitude of 200 m above sea level) is about 3-4 km from the port of Karavostasi and is a traditional Cycladic village with small whitewashed houses built close to each other, and narrow cobbled streets. Chora - a town for pedestrians, and parking lots are only on the edge. Here you will find a small selection of small but charming hotels and apartments, as well as cozy cafes and tavernas with traditional Greek food. At the top of the town is a medieval fortress Castro, built by the Venetians still in the 13th century.

In the vicinity of Chora (about 4 km) on the slopes of the picturesque cliff and it is one of the most famous attractions of the island - the Church of Our Lady. To the majestic white construction on the edge of a precipice leads zigzag road. From the summit offers spectacular panoramic views of the city and coast.

Folegandros - one of the most beautiful Cycladic settlements, a visit which will leave a lot of positive emotions and impressions.
