Temple Rambut Seavey is between Negara and the beach Medeba. Negara - town which is the capital of the district of Jimbaran, located in the western part of the island of Bali.

Negara - a medium-sized town with wide streets, a large number of mosques. Perhaps the most surprising and emotional event in this city is a traditional race on the buffalo managed jockeys - mekepung. They are organized by local authorities in August and somewhere between September and November, when there is no rain.

Another local landmark that attracts tourists, is beautifully situated on the shores of an ancient temple Rambut Siwi. This temple is considered one of the largest Hindu temples in Bali. The temple stands on a cliff, offering stunning views of the Indian ocean and the rice paddies.

At one time the church was restored and moved to the top of the mountain for the convenience of the veneration of a deity. Church is under the protection of local authorities, who see to it that all technical works were carried out on time. With the support of the authorities in the church in religious ceremonies.

Locals sincerely believe that every church on the island keeps a secret and Rambut Seavey is no exception. Translated name of the temple sounds like "Temple worship curl." The history of the temple goes to the XVI century, when a Hindu priest Nirartha made a stop at this place during a pilgrimage and declared the place holy. Leaving this place, he left a lock of his hair to the villagers, who after built a temple on the site and called it the Pura Rambut Siwi.

The temple is very beautiful, it is not far from the main road to Gilimanuk. The Balinese, who go in this direction, stop near the temple for religious rituals and receive blessings.
