National Museum of Fine Arts and the sculpture is located next to the Museum of Ethnography. The museum contains a collection of works of Turkish artists from the 19th century to the present day. There is also often hosts exhibitions of other museums.
The house where the museum is located, was handed over to the administration of the Wilaya Ankara Hafiz Mehmet Nurettin Karaoguzom and was restored by the Second Office of Administration Wilaya. April 1st, 1997 it was opened as a private museum. It presents works that shed light on ethnographic and historical features of the area, as well as to the attention of works relating to the times of Roman, Vizantiiskoy and the Ottoman Empire. It also presents the masterpieces of modern art and sculpture.
Today the museum is a center of art, which displays the most outstanding works of artists who have played an important role in the development of Turkish culture. In addition to the art collection reflects the period of formation and development of Turkish Fine Arts and its classification, there is a library of visual arts, which fills the gap in this area (to enrich the annual donations of Turkish and foreign patrons, or through new purchases), there are here and archives of Turkish artists. These files are often approached by researchers working in these areas.
Collections of painting, sculpture, ceramics, graphics and photos are exhibited in three galleries reserved for temporary exhibitions. In addition, within the framework of international cultural agreements exhibitions of Turkish art works selected from the museum collection.
