Çubuk is a town and district of Ankara Province, located on the Central Anatolian plateau of Turkey, at an altitude of 891 meters, at the confluence of Çubuk and Ankara (Sakarya River basin).

This area is a flat plain 38 kilometers north of the city towards the airport of Ankara. According to the 2000 census, the population of the district is 81,747 people, of which 76,716 people live in the city Çubuk. The area covers an area of ​​1362 square kilometers (526 square miles) and an average elevation of 1100 meters (3609 feet). The area was inhabited by the Seljuk Turks in the 14th century.

November 3, 1936 was held the opening ceremony of the reservoir Çubuk in Ankara. Today, lying in the reservoir area of ​​the field, irrigated by the waters, and it is famous for its pickles and cherries.
