Leskovitse - a small Czech village, which no one would have remembered if it was not significant historical events that took place next to him.

The village is located in the province Leskovitse Highlands 5 km from Castle Rock .  It is home to about a hundred people, who are still with surprise treats each incoming tourists .  Travelers began to call in Leskovitse, since 1961, when on the outskirts of the village established a memorial erected in honor of the events that occurred during the Second World War .  As you know, at the end of the war, 5-6 May 1945 through the village Leskovitse retreated several German units .  Local residents wanted to prevent departure of the Nazis and joined them in battle .  As a result, the Germans completely destroyed the village, her tan .  After the war, the village was restored, and in memory of those killed local people decided to erect a monument .  For a long time there were disputes about what should represent himself from the monument, until, finally adopted a draft master J. .  Lukeshova .  Three figures of a man, woman and child, clinging to his mother, put on a pedestal and surrounded by a low stone wall, on which are placed plaques with words of sorrow .

25 people were killed by the actions of the Nazi invaders. 25 people can remember, down on the bench near the monument and think about courage and fearlessness, love of country and faith in victory.

At the monument are constantly fresh flowers as a symbol of continuing life. Local residents take care of the monument, rightly considering it a part of its history.
