In Kamyshin district of the Volgograd region in the natural park Scherbakovsky, a few kilometers from the reservoir is of interest is the natural and historical heritage of the region - Urakov hill. The uniqueness of this project gives the old maze of man-made underground tunnels.

Towering ninety meters above the reservoir, with the top of the hill Urakova impressive views of Volga, on the one hand and, on the other hand - a panoramic view of the bend of the river with a small pleso .  At the foot of the hill from the Volga are horizontal entrances to the tunnel-cave .  Education labyrinth of caves dates back to the 17-19th centuries .  The most likely purpose of these underground tunnels stretching for kilometers - is the ancient quarries of the Volga Germans living in this region since the seventeenth century .  According to another version, hiding in caves (in times of persecution) schismatics .  In a distant caves were found the remains preserved Old Believer monastery .  The tunnels dug into the soil soft enough (sandstone) and therefore, as a result of landslides, the length and the number of caves is decreasing every year .  On the territory of Urakova hill on the machine and be dangerous without a guide, there is a possibility of failure of underground cavities . 

In the immediate vicinity of the mound is Nastin Urakovskim hill and mound of Stepan Razin, having the form of a magnificent loaf. Also nearby, in the natural park was opened Ternovskaya mound, is an ancient settlement of the Golden Horde of the fourteenth century.
