Institute of Contemporary Art of Valencia - one of the largest and most important museums of contemporary art, not only in Spain but throughout Europe. It is located in Valencia, in the northern part of El Carme. The aim of the museum is not only a demonstration of works by contemporary painters, sculptors, photographers, and promotion of art of the 20th and now 21st centuries, the support of modern talents and familiarize the masses with the directions of contemporary art. The museum was opened in 1989. In 2001, construction had the additional exhibition space.
