Park "Mont Avic" - the first specially protected area, established in the Italian region of Val d'Aosta and characterized by landscapes of great beauty. The park was established in 1989, for the protection of ecosystems, alpine valley Torrente Shalami (Shamdepra), and in 2003, the year of the "Mont Avic" included part of a vast valley of Dondo, extending up to the mountain ridges of the Val Soana and the Valle di Cogne.
