History Ulm Arsenal (Zeughaus) began in the 14th century, the first documentary reference dates back to 1433. As the name implies, the residents of the free imperial city of Ulm used the building as a warehouse of weapons. For several centuries there were stored cannons, cannon balls, bombs, and more. From time to time, Arsenal was not used for its intended purpose, as well as the imperial mint or warehouse is often important urban structures, such as bridges and water supply systems.
