Museum of Folk and Applied Arts in Troyan - a place where today the city kept a rich heritage, the fruits of the talented Trojan masters - potters, blacksmiths, weavers, seamstresses and others.
The museum exposition is located in a building that was destroyed during the Russian-Turkish war, and among the first restored after the Liberation. The building was built in 1881, before it was used for the needs of the school, then the municipality and court. In 1968 there was opened the Museum of Folk and Applied Art. In the ten halls of the samples of the most characteristic of the Trojan area of crafts - pottery, wood carving, blacksmithing, weaving, sewing and embroidery, and so on. D. The exhibition can be seen as the products themselves and the tools and devices with which they have been manufactured. Visitors can learn exactly recreate the interior of craft workshops.
In the three halls of the museum chronologically presents the development of pottery in the region - from prehistory to the present. Visitors have the opportunity to meet with the first steps in Troyan school of ceramics, history of the formation of this educational institution.
