Loutra Edipsou - lovely resort town on the northern coast of the beautiful Greek island of Evia (Euboea). In Greek the name literally translates as "bathing Oedipus." Actually, thanks to Loutra Edipsou located near the hot springs (there are more than 80), the water temperature ranges from 28 to 86 degrees, the village got its name. The healing properties of these sources are well known since ancient times, and today they are famous far beyond the borders of Greece.

Today, Loutra Edipsou - a popular modern resort with a well-developed tourist infrastructure and one of the best spas in Greece. Here you can spend your time and combine the therapeutic procedure with the traditional beach holiday and swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea. Attractions Loutra Edipsou and the surrounding area is worth noting located on the central square of the Monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary, built in the Baroque style, small but quite interesting archaeological collection of Loutra, picturesque mountain village Polilofos and the convent of St. George.

To get to Loutra Edipsou is quite simple, as there is a regular bus service to the city of Halkis (the administrative center of Evia). You can also take a taxi or take the ferry from the port of Arkitsa, located on the mainland (Fthiotida, Greece).
