Golshanskiy church of St. John the Baptist and the Franciscan Monastery - architectural complex of XVI-XIX century. The temple was built at the beginning of the XVI century, but in 1618, Paul Stefan Sapieha has allocated a lot of money on something that the temple was rebuilt, and built living quarters for the Franciscan monks.

In the XVIII century church dedicated to the basement dismantled and rebuilt. There was even changed the orientation of the altar. The new church was built in the Baroque style and consecrated in honor of St. John the Baptist.

Paul Stefan Sapieha was married four times. To his great regret, his wife died of unknown causes, leaving her husband heirs. Only the fourth wife was able to give birth to her husband three daughters and bury Paul Sapieha family crypt of the church of St. John the Baptist next to the untimely death of his three young wives. Tombstone before was in the crypt of the church.

In Soviet times, the church, like most Christian churches, experienced hard times. Thanks to Soviet scientists tomb was preserved. Since 1979, it is located in the Museum of Ancient Culture of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, however, scientists are, unfortunately, not in a hurry to return it to the church.

Recently, in the courtyard of the monastery was a monument to the fourth wife of King Vladislav II Jagiello Sophia Golshanskaya - ancestors of the Jagiellonian dynasty, which in 2005 would have turned 600 years old.

With the construction of the monastery linked to the most famous and most grim legend of the ghost in Belarus - the legend of the White Panne.

Paul Stefan Sapieha really wanted the monastery was built in time for the August 6, 1618 and promised a good reward builders. Apparently, the money was actually taken lightly, because when one is constantly crumbling monastery walls and tore down the construction time, the master turned to a local witch who agreed to carry out a dark ritual that can tame the unruly wall. She said that she will need for the rite of human sacrifice - though it will be the first of the wives that will bring dinner to her husband builder. Among the workers was a young man, recently married on great mutual love. It was his wife always came very first. He prayed that something she was detained, but she still came first. She and bricked into the wall, which never collapsed and rebuilt.

Since then, many witnesses saw in the monastery fragile transparent figure, dressed in white robes. Buried alive a woman held her anger on all people, especially men. It is able to bring to mind caught in possession of it, especially if the man will spend the night in the Tower of Ghosts. Scientists are studying the supernatural in Golshanskiy monastery, but still can not provide answers to many mysteries. And while White Panna walks around the monastery and scares tourists.
