In May 2002, the administration of the Sydney Aquarium has announced plans to expand its territory to include in a wildlife park. Construction of a new park began in 2004 and ended two years later. And in 2007 at the Australian Tourism Awards park garnered the first prize as the best place for a family holiday.

In the park paved walking path 1 km long that winds among the enclosures, covers an area of ​​7000 square meters. m. Today it is home to about 6,000 animals representing 130 species of local fauna.

In 2009, the park brought new inhabitant - 5-meter male saltwater crocodile named Rex, for which a special enclosure was built, worth 5 million Australian dollars.
