Those who have never seen the stars of the southern sky, is sure to go to Sydney Observatory - Main Astronomical Museum of Australia, equipped with the latest technology. Naturally, it is better to visit late at night, but during the day there is something to do - the theater in 3D space, you can see the amazing view of the star!

Sydney Observatory was built over 150 years ago - in 1858, making it the oldest in the country. Today it is made in the Italian style, it recognized the object of state significance and listed as a cultural heritage of Australia. With its convenient location - near the famous Harbour Bridge - to get to the observatory from anywhere in the city.

Once Sydney Observatory serves many functions - it serves for navigation, meteorology, precision timing and, of course, for the study of the stars of the southern sky. Worked at the observatory, astronomers, and lived here until 1982, when the observatory became a museum.

Today the main task of the Observatory - to popularize astronomy and allow adults to access to observe the stars. Here you can see unique exhibit - made in 1874 by a telescope with a 29-centimeter lens, and next to it - a super modern telescope, computer-controlled, and the latest hydrogen-alpha telescope to observe the sun. On the dome of the theater 3D projected all the stars and constellations of the near-Earth space. Every day, the Observatory held a lecture introducing the history of astronomy, its achievements and the latest discoveries.
