Museum of Contemporary Art - Sydney Museum, engaged in collecting of contemporary art in Australia and other countries. It is located in a newly built in the Art Deco building of the former maritime radiocommunication services on the western tip of the waterfront Sёrkular Key. It is the youngest cultural institution Sydney.

Museum of Contemporary Art was founded as part of the will of the Australian emigrant artist John Power (1881-1943 gg.), Buyout gave all his fortune to the University of Sydney for the organization of educational programs, which were introduced to Australians with contemporary fine art.

After the 1989 maritime radiocommunication services moved to new premises, the empty building was transferred to the State Government of New South Wales Museum of Modern Art. In 1990 we began large-scale restoration work, which sponsored the Sydney University and the Power, and one year later the museum was officially opened to the public.

Today, on 4 floors of this impressive building, leaving the facade on Sydney Harbour, is home to several galleries dedicated to contemporary art, starting from the 1970s to the present day.
