Manor Sukhanovs-Sumovskih located in the town of Sumy in the street Peter and Paul - is a beautiful two-storey palace type, erected in 1895 by local businessman and philanthropist NA Sukhanov. Family Sukhanovs was the richest among merchants and industrialists in Sumy.

In the early 90-ies. 19 Art. at the corner of the Duma (today Pervomayskaya) and Peter and Paul Sumy second guild merchant Sukhanov began the construction of the estate, which consisted of three buildings - the main two-storey residential building with architectural ornaments, a long one-story building services and office building with a basement. The main buildings are connected by an underground passage to the office with a loft, made in neo-Renaissance style. By 1895 the estate was equipped with the latest, at the time, relax, even electric light. After some time, the estate was sold to the family of IA Sumovskogo, who was one of the directors of the company Belgorod-Sumy railway.

After the October Revolution, the estate Sukhanovs Sumovskih noticed the Bolsheviks. As a result, it is located the headquarters of the Red Army in Sumy. In the Soviet years in a residential home and office housed the Municipal Party Committee, and in a long building - kindergarten with children's playgrounds and sandboxes.

In the mid-90s. 20 Art. office space for offices began to surrender different companies and organizations. Today, in the premises of the estate Sukhanovs-placed service Sumovskih Academy of Banking, Institute of Applied Physics, as well as a division of OCD. Inside the library Banking Academy an exposition "Sukhanov in Sumy", which tells about the life of charity and family Sukhanovs.

It survived until today an underground passage between the two-storey apartment house and office. Found in the building of the paintings of famous artists today are stored in Sumy Regional Art Museum.
