One of the main attractions of the north-eastern outskirts of Sumy, the historical name of Sloboda Luka is the stone church of St. John the Baptist with a belfry. The church is located on the street Ordzhonikidze, 87, and is clearly visible from the settlement Lipno and the banks of the river Psel.

Establishment of Sumy Colonel G. At present, the Church of the Nativity of John the Baptist - rectangular in plan, devyatidolnaya chetyrehstolpny, rectangular altar with bunk belfry above the western porch and the four-column portico of the Tuscan order on the western facade. On both sides of the portico marked by triangular pediments additional inputs that lead to the corresponding side altar. The temple is made in the style of late classicism provincial. Externally, the church is decorated with quite modest - blades, niches and pilasters, cornices and rust on modillions. Church stone red brick on lime-sand mortar, whitewashed. The roofs of the wooden rafters covered with circles and roofing steel.
