Lagoa das Network Sidadish - double lake, which is located in the crater of a massive dormant volcano on the island of Sao Miguel. Lagoa das Sidadish Network consists of two small lakes, which are connected by a narrow channel. The name of the lake from the Portuguese means "Seven Cities Lagoon" and this lake is one of the largest reservoirs in the region and one of the most important sources of fresh water reserve in the archipelago.

There is an interesting legend about the origin of this lake .  In ancient times lived an evil king and irritable widower with his daughter in the kingdom, which was in the West Sea .  King was fond of alchemy, was a magician, but he lived solely in the interests of her daughter, Antilles, and even forbade her to talk to someone .  Princess old nurse brought up after the death of the Queen Mother .  As time passed, the princess grew up and turned into a beautiful girl .  However, the king has limited its movement to the territory of the castle and garden, few could see the girl .  Princess is not afraid of intimidation of his father and ran away with the help of a nurse to walk in the local hills and valleys, while her father slept in the afternoon .  During one of her walks she heard the music performed by the young shepherd, who played the flute .  Princess was enchanted melody and a few weeks later came back again to listen at the same time met a shepherd .  Young people love each other and continued to meet secretly .  Shepherd decided to ask for the hand of the king's daughter, but the king refused him and expelled from the castle, and forbade his daughter to see him .  The princess did not want to incur the wrath of his father, secretly crept to the shepherd and said that they could no longer meet .  Young people wept, embraced, their tears formed two lakes, one green, as the princess had green eyes, and the other - blue because of the color of his eyes was a shepherd .  Small lake got its name, Lagoa Verde (Green Lake) and Lagoa Azul (Blue Lake) .

Today, around the lakes are situated agricultural and uncultivated fields. The water was undrinkable due to human activity, which has damaged water quality. Water from the lake is used for recreation, the government is taking all measures to improve water quality.
