The highest station building in Europe, adorns the city Samara. The building, constructed in 2001 by architect Y. Khramov, has a height of more than a hundred meters and the area of the railway station is just over 32 thousand square meters.
The station complex, which opened in 1999, includes: a comfortable lounge equipped with a visual light and electronic information, video monitoring, lift, urban and long-distance telephone and loudspeaker warning system. In December 1999, it opened a pedestrian tunnel connecting the station building to the platform having a length of 240 meters. In June 2000, he was commissioned a second launch complex - Station hotel. In December 2001, construction of the building was completed the opening of the third complex, located in the high part of the station. In it are located: waiting rooms passenger lobby service center, video room and a technical and administrative service station.
Samara station building has a viewing platform at a height of 95 meters, located on the balcony around the dome.
