Rzhevskij showroom was opened in 1988. It is a cultural institution in the heart of Rzhev, at the intersection of two main streets of the Soviet side of the city. The exhibition hall is located on the second floor of the mansion of the merchant belonging to the 19th century and covers an area of ​​150 sq.m.

The main objective of the exhibition hall Rzhevsky - exhibitions of works of art; enable artists to present their work to the audience.

The exhibition hall has a modern decor rooms, it is installed the original lighting, hall is divided into three exhibition complex. All of this provides new opportunities for different kinds of exhibitions. Thanks to specially designed and manufactured specifically for the equipment room each show gets a completely new solution to the exhibition space.

Recently Rzhevskij exhibition hall has greatly expanded the scope of its activities. He is one of the most active participants in the preparation and conduct of plein air paintings, which strengthens the position of cultural institutions in the artistic environment. In the open air in Rzhev come famous artists from Tver and the Tver region, Vladimir, Smolensk, Yaroslavl, Novgorod, Lipetsk, Moscow and St. Petersburg. At the end of the plein air artists donated to the city his paintings with views of the city.

In 2007-2008, Rzhevsky exhibition hall with exhibitions of contemporary artists: People's Artist of Russia M.Abakumova, D. Tugarinova sculptor, People's Artist of Russia E. Zverkova, People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Makeev.
