Apollo Cinema was built according to the plans of Emil Károlyi and running since 1912. Large cinema hall was once decorated with frescoes Erno Gebauer. Apollo was the first permanent theater of the city, to a self-building for the cinema in the city of Pecs was not. In addition, Apollo was the first theater outside of Budapest, where they showed "talkies."

After a long break, we decided to restore the theater. Restored Apollo opened its doors to the public in 2004. Today, films are shown here, but among young people it is popular meeting place - there is a cozy bar and a café. For children here at the Apollo kids' entertainment center.
