A native of Litovel Edward meal settled in Olomouc at a mature age. He was a respected lawyer, copes with the criminal process. In addition to working in areas of interest include the participation in the productions of amateur theater and breeding pigeons.

Edward meal did not feel the need for money, so one day to think about building your own multi-storey building, which would be his safe haven .  To design his mansion, he turned to Prague and admirers urbanism architect Ladislav Shkrzhivaneku .  For the construction of the villa was chosen quiet, fashionable district of Olomouc, located in front of the city park zoster .  Shkrzhivanek while, but it was in 1923, engaged in the development plan for construction of Olomouc, so happy to set to work on creating a beautiful villa .  He suggested to the customer structure with a gabled roof and a projecting cornice .  The windows had to alternate with the lights, and the facade is decorated in the style of sgraffito, you can read excerpts from the works of Jan Neruda, and Svatopluk Cech .  Such a structure in patriotic style could not appeal to a creative person, as was Edward Schroth .  All of this was brilliantly embodied in the life of a team of designers and builders .  Land acquired meal, was conditionally divided into two parts .  On the right side of the yard built the villa itself, and to the left is a garden with a swimming pool and relaxation area, which is decorated with sculptures and gazebos .  The park can be reached from the terrace of the house .

In the late 30-ies of XX century, the garden was confiscated and destroyed, and in its place built a house. Villa Edward Schroth is considered a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The current owner of the villa is now engaged in its restoration and repair.
