Border - flat city situated between several mountain systems. The local press can be found and the second name of this settlement - Hranice na Moravě. The town is popular with tourists as it is located close to the most profound failure of the Czech Republic - Hranice abyss. However, the town itself, and the boundary is of great interest to travelers who have decided not to be limited to a tour of major Czech cities to explore the hinterland.

As scientists believe, the border town appeared in the XII century. Then it was a small village, consisting of a couple of houses and a few craft workshops. The first mention in the annals of the border, we meet in the XIII century. At the time, land on which was located the Border, to dispose of Olomouc monasteries founded Premonstratension. In 1292, the border was granted the status of a city and all the privileges that promised this title. It must be said that the Moravian town has always been a tasty morsel. They possessed the most celebrated names of the Czech Republic.

The surprise is the fact that in the center Masarykovo square, which is the heart of the old town, the town hall is not, as in many other Czech cities, and the temple, consecrated in the name of John the Baptist. It was built in 1763 in Baroque style.

In general, the main square of the city amazes with its magnificence. It is surrounded by houses built in different architectural styles. Since ancient times, there remained a few Gothic buildings. Most of the houses were built in the XVI century, so their facades are decorated in baroque style. There are buildings, built in the XIX-XX centuries. Between the historical buildings you can see the town hall, which now houses a number of institutions, including libraries and information centers. This allows you to easily explore the interiors of the town hall.

Another major tourist attraction of the city is the castle Hranice.
