Reserve "Country Apes" was founded in 1998 by Tony Blignautom 16 km east of Plettenberg Bay, in an area of 12 hectares. This first park with free-range primates became one of the famous and beloved attractions Valley Gardens Garden Route. There are more than 550 monkeys of 28 different species, including gibbons, howler monkey, vervet monkeys, langurs, Sakis, capuchins, squirrel monkeys, spider monkeys, lemurs and ringtailed endangered black and white lemurs.
