Moscow State Art Gallery of People's Artist of the USSR A. Shilov located on the street Znamenka. The gallery is located in a mansion of the early 19th century, built by architect ED Tyurin.

In 1996, People's Artist of the USSR, academician of the Russian Academy of Arts AM Shilov appealed to the State Duma of the Russian Federation with a proposal to give the Fatherland more than 350 of his best robot. His gift was accepted. By the decision of the Moscow City Government established the Moscow State Art Gallery of People's Artist of the USSR AM Shilov.

The opening of the Gallery took place in 1997. From 1998-2003, AM Shilov donated another 400 jobs. In 2003, it completed construction of a new gallery designed by architect M. Posokhin. In 2010, the house number 7 for the first time after the restoration opened new facilities. The gallery hosts exhibitions annually of new robot author donated Russia. Now the collection includes more than 900 works.

The exhibition galleries are portraits, genre paintings, landscapes and still lifes. Special Meeting takes place in the section graphics. It often hosts "Meetings at the portrait." They are attended by the heroes of works of AM Shilov. Regularly held literary and art evening. Concerts of classical and chamber music in the gallery has become a tradition. The concert involved: Yuri Bashmet, Vladimir Matorin Zurab Sotkilava, Elena Obraztsova and Igor Butman and many others.
