Memorial Museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union, NF Gastello was opened in 1976 in a small classroom, school №33, which trained the future hero. The following year, the museum has been passported.

Nikolai Gastello born April 23 1908 in Moscow, in a small family of an ordinary worker; he was an ethnic Belarusians. Over a period of time he worked as a mechanic at a locomotive plant, after which he worked at the state plant mechanical construction machinery.

Beginning in 1930 and ending in 1932 years, NF Gastello lived in the village of Khlebnikov. In the spring of 1932, according to a special set, he was drafted into the Red Army detachment. The following year he graduated from the famous Lugansk military aviation training school for pilots. In the period from 1934 to 1939, he served in the aviation bomber crew in the city of Rostov-on-Don.
