The idea of ​​founding Cyber ​​museum appeared in 1995. A first major museum exhibition held in 2007 in Murom History and Art Museum. The exhibition was visited by 1,000 people then. The official date of establishment of the museum is the September 2, 2008.

In March 2012, Cyber ​​museum moved to new premises, where today he is about five hundred exhibits, telling about the history of national and world of computer technology - from its first faltering steps up its rapid development in our time.

The collection of the museum, its founder, Viktor Kupriyanov, collected about fifteen years. Here you can see everything from "Agatha" computers and "Spectrum" to laptops, from punch cards to flash drives, from calculators the size of a large book to miniature modern copies. It also presents already become "rarity" cell phones that appeared in the 90s of the last century - a huge "Nokii", "Siemens", the first digital cameras.

Most of the exhibits - in working condition, so visitors to the museum can remember their youth, playing old games "Tank Battle" or "Tetris" or black-and-white screen to admire the first version of «Windows», or MS-DOS. Especially advanced may even try to remember how to write simple programs in BASIC and FORTRAN.

The greatest value of the museum are: a collection of computers, a collection of calculators, a collection, reader and storing information. The museum collection is constantly updated.

Students of schools, colleges and universities, students can always find here a useful specialized literature, which can not be found even in libraries.

The exposition is divided into several themes: form factors motherboards, processors evolution, evolution of calculators, the evolution of graphics cards, the evolution of media, input devices, the evolution of HDD drives, IBM-compatible and non-compliant computers, the form factor of laptops, peripherals.

There is also the stands from the private collections of the 20th century cameras, cell phones, the late 20th century.
